How Automatic MT5 Journaling Works: Data, Limits and Review
A practical guide to importing MT5 history, checking data quality and building a repeatable trade-review workflow.
Disciply is our product. This guide explains the workflow and data checks; verify external service features against their official sources.
Not just a journal: markets, execution, risk and review in one workflow.
Disciply combines MT5 data, market tools, execution controls and behavioral analytics. The value is not one feature; it is the connection between context → decision → execution → journal → review.
Market workspace, charts, price alerts, Market Breakdown, calendar/context, Market Bias and volatility context available in the market workflow.
Group breakeven, profit protection, SL/TP management across multiple positions with preview and broker checks, plus partial close where supported.
Distribute limit orders inside a range while reviewing order count, size and total exposure before sending them to the connected account.
Sizing proposals using history, session, asset, current risk, exposure and broker volume specs; guardrails reduce size when conditions deteriorate.
Orders, protection and position management linked to the active account, with level, tick, minimum-distance/freeze checks and confirmation before execution.
What the record can contain
MetaTrader 5 can export account-history reports; a journal may also connect through a supported broker or platform workflow. Check the exact method offered. A CSV upload, read-only connection and ongoing sync differ in freshness and setup. Do not assume every MT5 broker, account type or instrument is supported.
Validate before reviewing
Compare a sample period with MT5 account history. Check deposits and withdrawals, commissions, swaps, symbol suffixes, timezone, pending orders and partial closes. Reconcile trade count and net result before using aggregated statistics. If a discrepancy cannot be explained, treat the analysis as incomplete.
Make the data useful
Tag setups and rule adherence consistently, then review a fixed period. Separate outcome from process: a planned loss is not automatically a mistake, and a profitable rule violation remains a deviation. Keep the original export and record manual corrections so later reviews can be reproduced.
