Nvidia is back at the center of traders' attention. On September 2, 2026, the stock is trading around $225.7, up roughly 3.8%. Stocktwits shows an even hotter social backdrop: sentiment at 78/100, classified as Extremely Bullish, and message volume at 76/100, Extremely High, with more than 660,000 watchers.
High attention does not automatically mean a better trade.
Sentiment is context, not a signal
Extremely bullish community sentiment can describe the environment around a stock, but it does not tell you where to buy, sell or how much to risk. Strong sentiment can accompany continuation, but it can also appear during euphoric phases when traders enter late. Social sentiment should therefore be read together with price action.
The main risk: chasing price
When a popular stock accelerates, FOMO tends to increase. Before acting, define the level that invalidates the idea, maximum accepted risk, the exact reason for entry and the condition that keeps you out if price is already too extended. If one of those elements is missing, the problem is not Nvidia. It is the process.
What to record in a Trading Journal
Record broader market context, direction and strength, retail sentiment at entry, volume, volatility, entry, stop loss, percentage risk, trade rationale, dominant emotion, outcome and final review. Over time, you can test whether trades taken during extremely bullish sentiment improve results or simply increase late entries.

Strong price and discipline can coexist
Nvidia being strong does not force a trader to act. Not entering is also a decision. If a setup exists, risk is defined and reward-to-risk is coherent, the trade can be evaluated. If the setup is missing, community sentiment should not replace it. Disciply makes journal data, risk, discipline and performance readable together so traders can review the quality of the decision, not only the P&L.
What to watch next
Watch whether price can hold strength, how volatility behaves and whether retail sentiment remains elevated. A disciplined trader does not need to predict the next move. The trader needs to know which conditions must be present before capital is put at risk.
